The Dog & Owner Lookalike Contest winners gather on the lakeside deck in Mound's Harbor District Park during Westonka Dog Days Saturday, Aug, 13, 2011.  The winning team consists of two families, the Sampsons and the Madigans who wore white cotton ball hats and ears to mimic their two Bijans, Cleo and Sampson.  The prize for first place was a First Aid Kit... for dogs.

Baylee Poikonen, 10, and Zuzu the Yellow Lab, Mound, took second place in the Dog & Owner Lookalike Contest during Dog Days Westonka at Harbor District Park in Mound Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011.  The Lookalike Contest was one of eight scheduled events that included a Sleddog Seminar, a Cutest Puppy Contest and a nondenominational Animal Blessing in the grassy circle along the Andrews Sisters Trail.

Approximately 200 dogs and their humans participated in the Arboretum's second 'All About Dogs Day,' that included the walk and a pet expo at the outdoor Margot picnic shelters.
"Wait, don't shoot!"  Shadow, a three year old Powder Puff Chinese Crest holds his hands up while his owner, Diannah Roberstson, pretends to have a gun.  Shadow and Diannah were participating in the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum's 'All About Dogs Days' Saturday, April 23, in Chaska.

Powder, a puppy-mill reject, is now a trained stage performer and in training to become a therapy dog.  Robertson is a trainer at Petco in Burnsville.
