Bill 'Doc' Wenmark unfurls an American flag on frozen Lake Minnetonka prior to the start of the 2015 ALARC Ice Dive Thursday, Jan.1. in Excelsior. Wenmark founded the club that started as a running program for first-time marathoners. The 25th annual Ice Dive comes with a new title, "Excelsior Minnesota is now the Ice Dive capital of Minnesota." Hundreds of ice divers go through the annual rite of passage - for those brave enough to jump into the beautiful water of Lake Minnetonka.
