    Gladys Williamson, Golden Valley, pauses before entering a 30 foot diameter, hand-made, cloth labyrinth at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Long Lake Saturday, May 5, in celebration of World Labyrinth Day.  The Labyrinth Society encouraged people to walk a labyrinth on the first Saturday in May at 1:00 PM in their own time zone - hoping it will spread through time zones around the world.

    Large cardboard bins hold donated food outside the Minnetonka Cub Foods store for the Intercongregation Communities Association's (ICA) Food Shelf's Guinness World Record™ attempt for the largest food drive in a 24-hour period Saturday, March 24, 2012.  Hundreds of volunteers from as far away as North Dakota worked tirelessly, and eventually collected 397,851-pounds of food to be donated locally.
