    A gorgeous morning greeted visitors, owners, and sight-seers at Maynards Restaurant in Excelsior Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.  One boat on display under a blue, late summer sky, is this 17-foot, Timberframe Guide Deluxe Canoe built by Bill Romness of Nickerson, MN.  Hundreds of folks came out to see the wares on display at the 35th Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous.

    The view looking west at the 35th Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Maynards Restaurant in Excelsior.  Dozens of vessels of every shape and size greeted visitors and aficionados at the day-long, late-summer event.  On the left is the Thayer IV, a 22-foot, Chris Craft-U22 manufactured in 1950 and one of the boats used in filming the movie On Golden Pond.
