Shockwaves Water Ski Team member Charlie Woodson, uses the experience from his eight years on the team for a barefooting exhibition on Parkers Lake during the team's performance in Plymouth Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.
A quiet moment on the dock before a performance of Shakopee-Prior Lake Shockwaves Water Ski Team Show on Parkers Lake in Plymouth Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.
Shakopee-Prior Lake Shockwaves Water Ski Team members, left to right, Tim Fitzgibbons, Dani Henned, and Erik Gorsuch practice a barefoot pyramid on dry ground while Pat Caldwell and Sara Bahnsen spot them from behind. The skiers start out in water on skis, then climb the pyramid and proceed to kick off one ski at a time, with Dani shifting her weight to accommodate which skier is kicking which ski at that time. During the actual act, Dani wears a helmet because the only way down from a barefoot pyramid is to bail off the back at high speed.
